African operations contribute 50% to UBA’s earnings – CEO

The United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc on Thursday announced that all its African subsidiaries are now on firm footing as they have been contributing maximally to the group’s profit margin.

The bank said its African operations, specifically, have contributed close to 50 per cent of the group’s earnings, leveraging on digital offerings and products across the board to gain large market shares across the different regions of operations in Africa.

MONROVIA – Four ANC women, Dr. Francien Chenoweth Richardson, Amanda Wright, Ysyndi Martin Kpeyei, and Elouise Page, are in Liberia for the next few weeks to partner with ANC women to conduct civics education in various communities in Liberia. For the first time, women of a political party have engaged in such exercise. Although the women are looking to target all Liberians, they are targeting Liberian women. Liberian women make up more than 50% of the population.

Liberian presidential hopeful and renowned human rights lawyer Cllr. Tiawan Saye Gongloe has promised to form his cabinet with 50 percent female ministers if he is elected president in the 2023 presidential and legislative elections.
Through a phone interview from the United States with a Liberian – based local broadcaster Radio Gbarnga on Monday, 13 June 2023, Cllr. Gongloe explained how women are unbending when they decide to be straightforward.
