NAIROBI, Kenya Dec 8 – Five suspects have been arrested for allegedly defrauding a Koren national Sh2.9 million in a fake gold scam.

The suspects were arrested on Tuesday by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)’s Serious Crimes Unit following a complaint by the victim identified as Song Sung.

Song told detectives that he was initially shown some well-packed bars that he was made to believe were genuine gold at a company in Karen.

NAIROBI, Kenya Dec 7 – Chaos erupted in Kabete, Nairobi Tuesday following the killing of six people by a police officer.

The officer attached to Kabete Police Station is reported to have first shot his wife dead before he sprayed eight people with bullets and later committed suicide. Two of them are nursing gunshot wounds in hospital.

The officer was identified as Benson Imbatu.

Siaya man kills neighbour for telling him he’s not good in bed

NAIROBI, Kenya Oct 7 – A man was killed in Siaya County on Wednesday for mocking his neighbour that he was not good in bed.

The incident occurred in Yala, Siaya county where the victim identified as Marvin Onyango was beaten to death by George Onyango who is reported to have been angered by the remarks, according to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

The DCI has launched a manhunt for the man said to have fled after the incident.

Officers attached to the Drug Squad seized a total of 247 pounds of Cannabis within a 24-hour period on Wednesday, 29 and Thursday, 30 September 2021.

The illegal drugs which carry an estimated street value of $559,998 were discovered at Artiste Bay, La Poterie, St Andrew, and Petite Esperance, St David.

Charged with the seizure at St David are Shevon Charles, 30 years; Kimron Mc Donald, 28 years; Jamie Mc Donald, 23 years and Kwesi Abraham, 22 years, all unemployed residents of Byeland, St Andrew.
