LONDON: Derek Chisora has promised to entertain when he takes on Kubrat Pulev at the O2 next month after he insisted the hunger to continue boxing remains there.

Abdullahi Dikko, ex-Nigerian customs chief, is dead

A former Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Abdullahi Dikko, is dead.

He died on Thursday at the age of 61 years.

His younger brother and district head of Musawa in Katsina State, Sagir Inde, confirmed the development to PREMIUM TIMES.

He said Mr Dikko died while receiving treatment at a hospital in Abuja.

LONDON – Tyson Fury played down the chances of a heavyweight boxing unification showdown against Anthony Joshua this year, claiming no progress has been made in fixing the fight.

Joshua beat Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev in December to retain his IBF, WBO and WBA titles and set up the prospect of a mouth-watering clash with fellow Briton Fury, the WBC belt holder.

Yet despite Joshua’s manager Eddie Hearn saying in January that a deal was almost done, Fury says the fight was no closer to being arranged than it was a year ago.
