Outpatient clinic relocated to General Hospital building Phase 2

The Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Religious Affairs advises that effective Tuesday, 30 May 2023, the following outpatient clinics will be conducted at the new hospital building (Phase 2).  

Beacon assists Calliste Government School

On Wednesday, 17 May 2023, The Beacon Insurance Company Ltd., generously donated $1,000 to assist the Calliste Government School with its School Feeding Programme.

Molly Roberts, Branch Manager at Beacon Grenada, presented the cheque to school principal Antoinette Lewis, in front of faculty and students at the school.

No case made against longstanding GPWU Officer

The Grenada Public Workers’ Union (GPWU) duly informs that on Tuesday, 20 May 2023, a Committee set up by the Public Service Commission (PSC) to investigate a complaint on grounds of dismissal against a longstanding Public Officer concluded that “there was a failure by the Public Service Commission, to set out a charge against the Officer, “pursuant to Public Service Commission Regulations 1969, 74 and 88(2)(a) and or the Standing Orders, standing order 31.

Ministry of Education to stage disaster simulation exercise in Buccament Bay

A disaster simulation exercise is taking place this morning in the Buccament Bay area, regarded as one of the most hazard-prone areas on the mainland.

The exercise, which is aimed “to test the hurricane readiness of stakeholders in the Buccament Bay area…” is slated to begin at 9.00 a.m today.

In a release the Ministry of Education said it is initiating the exercise in keeping with its school safety mandate and in its capacity as part of the shelter management sub-committee of the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO).

The Carnival Development Corporation (CDC) has announced the list of Ragga and Soca Artistes to compete in the Soca Monarch Semifinals on Sunday, June 26 at the Solidarity Car Park Inc.
Those selected from the preliminaries for the Semis are:
1. Keronna ‘Keke’ Samuel
2. Derron ‘Magikal’ Rouse
3. Delroy ‘Fireman’ Hooper
4. Zavique ‘Caspa G’ Morris
5. Chewalee Johnson & Jamarie ‘LPank’ Stapleton
6. Kamara ‘Keido’ Foster
