US hopes to seize VI-linked jets

A federal court in New York has authorised the United States government to seize two private jets collectively worth $410 million that are allegedly owned by a Russian oligarch and registered via “shell companies” in the Virgin Islands and elsewhere, according to an affidavit filed for a seizure warrant in court on Monday.

Actor Ray Liotta died in Santo Domingo, where he was filming the movie “Dangerous Waters,” reported Thursday. He was 67 years old.

On Wednesday, he died “of natural causes” in the Zona Colonial while sleeping; sources told Listìn Diario.

Born in 1954 in New Jersey, Liota began working in television series in the late seventies.

The American actor was filming in Dominican territory the movie ‘Dangerous Waters,’ according to Deadline magazine.

Celebrated Barbadian singer Lew “Jiggs” Kirton died in January this year. Amid threats of targeted sanctions

The Government of Liberia (GoL) says it welcomes a joint resolution sponsored by four United States Congressional members reaffirming commitment and support towards transparency and accountability in Liberia.

Information Minister Legerhood Rennie told newsmen Monday, Feb. 7, that the resolution is in support of government’s effort to fight corruption and promote human rights here.

In their resolution dated Feb. 4, the Congressional members called on the U.S.

Reggae artiste Ras Twyn plans to use his music to make the world a better place.

"My decision to become a recording artiste was influenced by spiritual experiences that occurred in my life in 2019. Music is a spiritual calling for me. I only sing songs that carry positive messages because I want to use my music to make this world a better place," he said.

Members of the main opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) showed up in their red attire to witness the inauguration of the new executive of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) New Jersey Chapter.

The presence of the staunched APC members was to show solidarity with their SLPP brothers and sisters to celebrate the official inauguration of the executive members.
