Val Ferry is set to resume operations on Decemeber 10th

Val Ferry, which services the French island of Guadeloupe and the Nature Isle of Dominica, is set to resume operations on December 10th. The services of Val Ferry had been disrupted for the past 20 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Managing Director of Val Ferry, Leroy “Wadix” Charles, stated that their Roseau office is now pended for bookings; the company thanks all those involved for bringing recommencement of the ferry service to Dominica.

He further expressed gratitude to both the authorities and their customers by saying, ‘We thank the authorities and most importantly we thank our loyal customers for their patience and we looking forward to continuing the professional service as Val Ferry is accustom to.’

Mr. Charles said that Val Ferry respects the Health Authorities of Dominica and urged all customers to get vaccinated.
He then went on to explain why customers are to be vaccinated.

He said, ‘For instance to go to the French islands the vaccinated customer only require to present their vaccination cards, recent PCR or Antigen test, along with the compulsory insurance, reservation, and a valid ticket; on the contrary, the unvaccinated customer must present an urgent documented reason, example a medical appointment, among other documents.’
