Éducation : Haïti officiellement élue au sein du Conseil exécutif de l’UNESCO pour 4 ans

L’Ambassadeur, Déléguée permanente d’Haïti auprès de l’UNESCO, Mme Dominique Dupuy, annonce officiellement l’élection de la République d’Haïti au sein du Conseil exécutif de l’UNESCO, pour la période 2021-2025 lors des élections qui ont eu lieu ce mercredi 17 novembre à Paris au cours de la 41e session de la Conférence générale de l’Organisation, a appris Haiti Press Network dans un communiqué acheminé à la rédaction ce mercredi. Addis Abeba, March 01/2021 – The Federal Supreme Court Cassation Bench has late this afternoon dismissed the appeal by the Federal Attorney General to block the decision by the Federal High Court granting defendants on Jawar Mohammed file access to private medical facility.

Addis Abeba, February 24/2021 – The police in Jimma city, Oromia regional state, defied court order to release on bail Jimma university graduate Mohammed Deksiso and two staffers of the university and transferred them to a different police station to which the court’s order for bail wasn’t addressed to, a source with knowledge about the matter told Addis Standard.

Addis Abeba, February 24/2021 – The Ethiopia National Defense Forces (ENDF) called 15 Tigrayan members of the ENDF who were deployed with the UN peacekeeping mission in South Sudan and who refused to board a flight in Juba airport, “traitors backed by the UNHCR and Tigrayans working in the UN.” The ENDF also demanded an apology from the UNHCR.

Addis Abeba, February 19/2021 – Ethiopia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a strong statement in which it said Ethiopia “strongly believes that the conflict being trumpeted by the Sudanese government’s military wing could only serve the interests of a third party at the expense of the Sudanese people.”
